Job Description
We are a growing specialty contractor serving Central Arkansas and surrounding states. We seek an experienced Estimator to join our team. You will provide accurate estimates to customers on private and public works projects of all sizes. A positive, flexible attitude is essential as you may assist with estimates across multiple divisions.
Essential Functions
- Identify and locate bid opportunities through online bid boards and bidding platforms
- Examine project plans and perform accurate quantity surveys and takeoffs
- Conduct job site visits to understand project scope and conditions
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for best value
- Prepare detailed project bids and cost estimates
- Maintain bid calendars and submit documents on time
- Coordinate with Operations team upon bid award
- Monitor project costs throughout execution
Requirements
- 3+ years of recent, verifiable construction estimating experience
- Construction Management experience strongly desired
- Proficiency with bid boards and plan rooms
- Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software (preferably OnScreen Takeoff)
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google products
- Valid Driver’s License

AF&G is a specialty contractor in Central Arkansas seeking Pavement Marking Technicians to help complete road striping and pavement marking projects throughout Arkansas. You will operate and maintain paint and thermoplastic equipment for application on parking areas, playground areas, highways, roadways, airport runways, and taxiways. You will also operate airless walk-behind paint stripers and assist in traffic control setup and removal.
